CLUBS, SPORTS TEAMS, GREEK AFFILIATION
I am an active member of the Poultry Science Club and the Farm Bureau Collegiate Young Farmers and Ranchers Program. Within the Collegiate YF&R, I currently serve as the clubs Vice-President. My duties include praying before each function, reserving meeting spaces and materials, and presiding over meetings in the absence of our president.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT AGRICULTURE?
I had the privilege to grow up on a fourth-generation poultry farm in Northeast Georgia, so agriculture is in my blood. My favorite thing about agriculture is that it is one big family. I became heavily involved in the National FFA Organization throughout middle and high school, and it is that involvement that taught me how to be an advocate for agriculture in addition to giving me a family that I will have by my side forever. I love that no matter if you raise chickens, cows, hogs or grow peanuts, cotton or corn, the people involved in the ag industry always have each other’s backs.
My hobbies include playing the piano, cooking, Bible journaling, listening to podcasts, and bowling on a weekly basis with my friend group.
IF YOU COULD TRAVEL TO ANY LOCATIONS, WHERE WOULD IT BE?
I LOVE TRAVELING. I am currently obsessing over Waco, TX, because of the show Fixer Upper. My current travel dream is to set off on a road trip towards the west coast with no travel itinerary or hotel reservations. I want to just drive, see the country and stop when I get ready to stop. With a pit stop in Waco, of course! ;)
